Hello everyone, let's take a look at our open‑source live‑chat customer‑service system.
This folder holds all the source code for our whole project. First off, we need to set up our database connection. We're using MySQL for this project.
Head over to the config directory, and locate mysql.json.
Inside this file you'll see several fields: server, port, database, username and password. These are your MySQL database connection settings.
Next, open up your terminal. Execute the command go run main.go install. Here, install is our command‑line argument.
Once this command finishes running, it will import all the SQL statements into the MySQL database you've created in advance.
After the database import completes successfully, run go run main.go server.
Now our service is fully started. Open your browser and go to 127.0.0.1:8081.
You should now see our official website homepage load up.
Click the login button.
The default username is admin, and the default password is 123.
And just like that, we're logged into the backend admin panel.
From the admin panel, click the chat link. You can send messages and interact as a site visitor.
Meanwhile, support agents can view and reply to visitor messages right here in the backend.
That covers the full deployment and basic usage of our open‑source online customer‑service chat system.
