服务器内存则不一样,服务器内存最重要的是要稳定和纠错,并不会去追求更高的频率或者速度,但是会更加看重技术,可以这么说,部分先进的技术都用在了服务器内存上,而大部分先进的工艺都用在了普通内存上。
二.然后从技术层面
服务器的内存条支持ECC错误效验技术,经过错误校验、纠正,无形中也就保证了服务器系统的稳定可靠。ECC技术的主要作用是用于数据纠错,毕竟服务器内存通常都是长时间工作负载,连续通电工作一个月都是很正常的时,为了保证运行的稳定必须要对内存里的数据进行纠错,才能确保计算机指令的正确传达和执行。
另外热插拔技术也是保证服务器持续稳定运行的一个重要技术,使维护人员可以在服务器正常带电运行的情况下,直接对内存进行插拔操作。普通内存条检测到错误时,并不能确定错误在哪一位,也无法修正错误。普通内存通常只需要持续工作几小时或十几小时就行。普通的内存条也不具备热插拔这样的技术,想要对PC的内存进行更换等操作都需要关机断电才行。

服务器的内存条容量通常是以32GB起步,服务器里面也会根据实际情况选择安装大容量的内存条。
四.从用途层面
通常情况下,服务器的内存条只能用于服务器,普通内存条只能用于台式机,它们之间不能互换,否则将不能正常开机。但是AMD平台服务器的内存条可以用到普通电脑上,但是有时会不稳定;INTEL平台服务器的内存条,普通家用的电脑用不了,只能服务器平台能用。

对于同一品牌、规格、容量的内存条,服务器的内存价格通常会比普通内存价格高很多。
