linux x86 arm loongarch
The software for Linux supports x86, ARM, and LoongArch .
| CPU architecture | Available packages |
|---|---|
| x86-64 --- typical Intel/AMD PCs | DEB, RPM, AppImage |
| ARM64 --- ARM-based computers | DEB, RPM, AppImage |
| LoongArch --- compatible Loongson computers | DEB |
To check which one you need, run:
bash
uname -m
Choose X86 for x86_64, ARM for aarch64, or LoongArch for loongarch64.
deb rpm appimage

DEB, RPM, and AppImage are Linux application package formats---not CPU architectures.
| Format | Use it on | How to install/run |
|---|---|---|
DEB (.deb) |
Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint | sudo apt install ./filename.deb |
RPM (.rpm) |
Fedora, RHEL and related distributions | sudo dnf install ./filename.rpm |
AppImage (.AppImage) |
Many Linux distributions | Make executable, then run---usually no installation needed |
For an AppImage:
bash
chmod +x filename.AppImage
./filename.AppImage
Choose both the right format and CPU architecture. For example, an Ubuntu computer with an Intel/AMD 64-bit CPU needs the x86-64 DEB download.
Summary
