- CCTV的记者在每年的这个时候可能会对某个随机的路人提出一个灵魂拷问：你幸福吗？
- 对于这个问题, 我的回答是, 不好意思我姓李。
- 作为在一个普通人，有幸拜读毛姆写的一本名叫《The Moon and Sixpence》的英文小说, 感叹文化属性的差异以及英文韵律的美感, 有感而发，遂成此文。

读罢毛姆的《月亮与六便士》，内心久久不能平静，伟大的作品往往有着穿越时空的力量。遂在微信读书App上找来了英文原版的《The Moon and Sixpence》随着AI合成语音的技术进步，目前微信读书之类的读书App已经能够得到还算及格的英文原版书听读体验。语言是一把把打开不同文化属性的钥匙，唐诗宋词最好用汉语去诵读，西方留下来的文学作品如果用他们的母语去阅读，也会获得更加切合该作品文化属性的体验。
In the era with advanced science and technology, people still greatly value artists such as musicians, painters and writers. What can the arts tell us of the life that science cannot? 在我们生活着的科学技术跃迁质变的时代，一些人仍然非常重视音乐家、画家和作家等艺术家。艺术能给我们带来什么东西是科学不能带给我们的？这确实是一个好问题，我认为从某个层面来说，《The Moon and Sixpence》这本书的全书都是在回答这个问题。
在我看来，我觉得艺术给人类提供了一种直击灵魂的视角。比如说当你去欣赏一幅艺术品画，一开始是看画是山看水是水的阶段；当你知道了这幅画作者的创作背景以及画作中的笔触及颜料配色后，你就会进入到一种看山不是山看水不是水的阶段，这时那副艺术画作变成了一个停留在你脑海中的故事，有它抽象的意义；当你真正把艺术融入到生活中，你会进入看山还是山看水还是水的阶段，你会发现生活本具自足，艺术画作本具引发人类非理性原始冲动的力量。
艺术家的视角本身跟我们普通人是有差别的，正如书中的斯特里克兰对爱情的看法："I don't want love. I haven't time for it. It's weakness. I am a man, and sometimes I want a woman. When I've satisfied my passion I'm ready for other things. I can't overcome my desire, but I hate it; it imprisons my spirit; I look forward to the time when I shall be free from all desire and can give myself without hindrance to my work. Because women can do nothing except love, they've given it a ridiculous importance. They want to persuade us that it's the whole of life. It's an insignificant part. I know lust. That's normal and healthy. Love is a disease. Women are the instruments of my pleasure; I have no patience with their claim to be helpmates, partners, companions."

最后，本文最初写于2023.11.30，我想谈谈2023.11.28陨落的查理芒格。2021年8月有幸拜读了李继宏老师翻译的《穷查理宝典》，通过与李继宏观老师的的握手间接也触屏了芒格先生的灵魂, 芒格先生提到的铁锤思维让我受益良多。不论是艺术还是不同文化属性的语言，亦或是《The Moon and Sixpence》，都是让人打破铁锤思维的一剂良药。芒格先生有着传奇的一生，中年时为了生活的Sixpence离开了律师行业转而做投资并取得了世俗意义上的辉煌成功。祝愿芒格先生在天堂中也找到他的The Moon, R.I.P.🙏🏻~
